Advantage and Disadvantage of Power Pole and Angle Tower in Power Transmission Engineering

The Advantage and disadvantage of power pole and angle tower in power transmission and distribution engineering.

1. Power Pole:

Advantage: Simple structure,  easier to install and maintenance, save installation time, cover less space than angle tower.

Disadvantage: price is higher than angle tower , less safety than angle tower. In order to achieve the same safety , the diameter should be bigger and wall strength should be higher.

2. Angle Tower :

Advantage: higher safety level, easier to transport. Price lower. The wind pressure drop of the angle plate is small and the gas flow is larger.

Disadvantage: cover more space than mono pole.
