The galvanized angle steel transmission tower is a spatial lattice structure composed of angle steel members connected by bolts, featuring triangular or quadrilateral cross-sectional design. This truss-based construction achieves the structural advantage of "light weight and high rigidity," effectively dispersing loads through component combinations while significantly reducing wind resistance compared to solid structures.

Philippines 110kV Rural Grid Renovation Project

A local Philippine power engineering contractor cooperated with us for rural grid upgrading, placing an order for 320 sets of 110kV customized galvanized angle steel transmission tower. Considering the local tropical high-temperature, rainy and high-salt climate, we optimized the galvanized layer thickness and upgraded the overall wind-resistant structure. All towers passed local power department acceptance after delivery. The whole project was finished and put into operation on schedule, greatly improving local power supply stability. Hot-Dip Galvanizing Process

Hot-dip galvanizing is the industry-standard corrosion protection for transmission towers. The process begins with acid pickling to remove mill scale and rust from the steel surface, followed by water rinsing to eliminate acid residues. The cleaned angle steel is then dipped into a flux solution, preheated to 85–125°C, and immersed in a molten zinc bath at approximately 435–436°C.


During immersion, the zinc metallurgically bonds with the steel, forming a uniform, dense coating layer typically 30–86 microns thick depending on steel thickness. The coated components are then water-cooled, passivated in a chromium-free solution, and finished to remove any zinc spurs or ash. This process delivers corrosion resistance that extends service life to over 50 years, even in aggressive atmospheric conditions.
